Loveland Fire Rescue Authority (LFRA) is recruiting a Fire Inspector for our progressive, all-hazards emergency services organization. Under the supervision of the Fire Marshal, the Fire Inspector confirms compliance with plan review and fire code requirements for LFRA. This position conducts inspections of new buildings under construction, building modifications, tenant finishes, existing structures, and fire protection systems.   • A valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • High School Diploma or GED

Two (2) years of full-time experience as a fire service professional or in a closely related field such as:

  • Fire or Building Inspection
  • Fire Protection Systems ( inspecting, designing, and/or installing)
  • International Code Council (ICC) Fire Inspector I and II within 6 months of hire date
  • State of Colorado Fire Inspector I and II required within 6 months of hire date
  • NIMS 100/700 within 6 months of hire date
  • International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) – Fire Investigation Technician or National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) – Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator within 18 months of hire date
  • NWCG S130/190 (32-hour classroom portion) within 24 months of hire date
